Have Fun & Build Confidence: Dog Training for People.
Keep on Track With New Year Resolutions
Join our Plan-Do-Study-Act human and dog training lab to uncover learning opportunities while developing a new personal orientation toward human behavior change with the help of your dog. Yes, this program uses your dog to help teach about how to implement behavior change strategies in your life, improve communication, develop confidence, and explore emotional regulation. You will be learning through movement, cognition, orientation/attention, and interaction.
“This is a pilot series is to evaluate optimum learning protocols. Your feedback shapes what this becomes.”
NO Reactive or Aggressive Dogs allowed in the pilot program.
The pilot program is starting off with a Pay-what-you-can model – ($10 – $50 per lesson suggested)
We will be exploring a wide range of human and dog behavior models. However, this program primarily integrates three complementary domains, “Drills where the Behavior is shaped and rewarded by the environment (this is practice where the Handler’s behavior is reinforced throughout the course,) Somatic awareness (awareness of movement and moving,) the third component combines emotional regulation with evidence based behavior theory.”
On Top of this we add an element of Fun. Teaching the dog should be enjoyable for both the dog and the human. The goal is to reduce the effort and friction caused by performance and social stress as the handler gradually increases their confidence
